Divorce / Separation Practice

Going through a divorce can be emotionally draining – especially knowing that the results will affect you for the rest of your life. In India, there are two ways to get divorced. Getting a divorce involves termination of the marriage child custody, child support, alimony/spousal support, division of assets, division of debts, and the payment of attorney’s fees. Where these issues can be agreed upon by the Parties, the divorce can be handled through an uncontested process called a Joint or Mutual divorce Petition. However, if the Parties are unable or unwilling to come to an agreement on each of those issues, the divorce must be handled through a contested or litigated process. Our experience divorce lawyers work with you to successfully navigate all of the issues that must be worked through in the divorce process. We will work hard to get you the best possible outcome from the proceedings. We understand the many pressures and considerations that impact a divorce case. We will help you protect your assets and, most importantly, protect your rights so that your post-divorce life can begin as smoothly as possible. Divorcing parents of minor children have needs over and above those divorcing without minor children. Our attorneys have the expertise and experience to avoid, or at least minimize, the impact of the pitfalls that crop up in most custody cases. Determining the custodial rights of the divorcing parents is often the largest and most time consuming issue in a divorce case. Our attorneys have the experience necessary to assist you in understanding your rights as a parent and coming up with the best possible custody order to protect your rights and relationships with your children.
